This sequel to the Backyard Wrestling series leans into its chaotic roots with over-the-top moves and split-screen brawls. Players mash buttons to execute wild slams and dives in backyard arenas. The single-player mode offers a straightforward wrestling arc while local multiplayer keeps matches quick and messy. Released in 2004 it ran on Xbox and PlayStation 2 with a focus on rowdy action over polish. The game’s licensed soundtrack featured acts like Insane Clown Posse Bad Brains and Fall Out Boy which still feels mismatched yet oddly fitting. A TV spot starring Vampiro and New Jack drew attention but reviews at the time called it a disappointment. Still it sold almost 300,000 copies by 2005 suggesting fans appreciated the rowdy split-screen fights despite the rough edges.
