You’re under attack from underground. Martians led by a guy named Rupert have shifted from crop circles to all-out invasion. B.A.D. throws you into the chaos as you blast through waves of bugs and bots across 12 levels. The DOS-era shooter runs fast and loud with pixelated enemies and power-ups that let you swap between guns, grenades, and a laser that melts everything. Play solo or team up locally via split-screen co-op for up to four players. The action never slows down and the Martian designs lean into goofy 90s cartoon vibes. The game’s split-screen mode stays sharp even by modern standards making it a pick for retro multiplayer nights. While the 1997 release date shows in some clunky level geometry the relentless waves of enemies and simple joy of blowing things up with friends keeps it memorable. A small but vocal group of DOS enthusiasts still circle back for the chaotic co-op and the sheer absurdity of a Martian warlord named Rupert.
