Bank Heist lets you steer a getaway car through maze-like city grids under pursuit by police. Your goal is to rob as many banks as possible before fuel runs out or cops catch you. Each heist spawns a new bank and a pursuing cop, forcing you to juggle speed and strategy. You can drop dynamite from the exhaust to destroy enemies or clear paths, but it risks blowing your own car. With four lives and the chance to earn extra cars by hitting nine banks in a single city, the game mixes timing, planning, and luck. The difficulty switches tweak core mechanics instead of just cranking up speed. Left switch A makes police more aggressive, while B forces predictable enemy movement. Right switch A randomizes bank locations, and B locks them in fixed spots. These options let you choose between chaotic chaos or calculated strategy. Released in 1983 for the Atari 2600, it leans into its era’s hardware limits with simple but sharp controls. The blend of maze navigation and resource management still feels brisk and tense, even with its 8-bit charm.
