Bank Robber is a simple but tense action game where you steer a stick figure to carry cash from a left-side building to a right-side one. Moving between the two requires dodging meteors falling from the top of the screen each hit costing a life. Mixed in are power-ups to boost your odds: catch a pill to gain a life or grab bricks to build protective structures that shield you from the chaos. The goal is to maximize the money you deliver before the screen resets forcing you to balance speed and survival. Released in 1983 for the Sinclair ZX81 this minimalist title has earned a 4.3/5 rating from retro gaming communities. Its stripped-down design relies on quick reflexes and memorization of meteor patterns. The brick-building mechanic adds a strategic layer missing from similar games of the era. With no dialogue or story just pure pixelated persistence it’s a quick 5 minute distraction that still manages to hook players trying to inch their way to a higher cash total.
