Battle Grid throws you into a sci-fi fight for survival on a hostile alien planet. You gather enemy resources to build and upgrade a squad of mechs, then use them to fight back against waves of invaders. Each encounter tests your ability to mix weapon types, unit roles, and battlefield positioning. The roguelite structure means no two runs feel the same, new layouts, enemy behaviors, and loot force you to adapt your strategy constantly. What clicks is the depth of unit customization. Over 40 weapon modules and 20 chassis types let you build turrets that overload enemy shields or mechs that tank through explosions. Community playthroughs show players crafting wildly different playstyles, from glass cannon snipers to brute-force bruisers.
