Battle Pinball lets you square off against an opponent in head-to-head pinball matches on the 3DO system. Choose from four characters each with their own table layout then battle on split screen to rack up higher scores. The gameplay loops around standard pinball mechanics but adds direct competition as you focus on outscoring rather than just playing the machine. Single player modes include AI opponents with varying difficulty levels. The split screen design and character specific tables stand out in a genre mostly focused on solo play. Released exclusively in Japan in late 1994 it remains a rare example of competitive pinball design. While not widely discussed today its dual player format and straightforward scoring system make it a distinctive entry in the 3DO library.
