You run a fleet of eight distinct ships in this 1997 strategy game. Each match forces you to balance offense and defense as you deploy patrol boats subs destroyers and more to outmaneuver opponents. Combat unfolds in real time but pacing feels deliberate, every decision shifts the balance between sinking enemy vessels and avoiding their fire. The PlayStation and Sega Saturn versions share the same core loop of tactical positioning and resource management. The Arcade mode throws you into quickfire clashes while Campaigns add layered objectives and evolving maps. Community archives note its influence on later naval strategy titles though modern players might find the interface clunky by today’s standards. With 12 ship classes and no AI teabagging victories it stays briskly competitive even now.
Strategy is key to all naval combat games. You must anticipate your enemy's every move and sink them before they sink you. BATTLE STATIONS puts you in the admiral's chair of your own naval fleet and it's up to you to win the war. In the Arcade and Campaigns modes you will command patrol boats, subs, destroyers, carriers, battleships, troop transports, cruisers, and mine layers. Lead your fleet to victory and prove that you are the greatest admiral ever.
