About

Battlebots started as an ambitious project by Warthog Games to let fans control real machines from the Comedy Central show. Players could choose from over forty robots across four weight classes and build their own custom fighters for a tournament mode. The game supported both single player runs and multiplayer matches on PlayStation 2 and Nintendo GameCube. Everything was set up to feel like a true simulator where you managed the mechanics of each machine before sending it into the arena. The project never saw the light of day because the TV series ended mid-production. This cancellation stopped the final polish from happening, leaving behind only what developers had built by late 2002. No community ratings exist since no one ever got to play the finished version. What remains is a curious artifact showing how deep the development went before things fell apart. Fans of the show still talk about the custom bot builder they would have used if the game had launched.
