About

more Belial is a side-scrolling platformer from 1989 that plays like a direct descendant of classic arcade gauntlets. You control a bearded warrior who fights through hordes of spooky enemies with a steady stream of bullets. Each level is a gauntlet of jumps, dodges, and headshots against zombies, floating skulls, and explosive plants. There are no save points, one misstep sends you back to the beginning of every stage, which can get frustrating fast. What's clear is the game's intent to mimic Ghosts 'N Goblins' punishing style. The pixel art and enemy designs don't hide the influence, but the Amiga's hardware gives it a slightly smoother feel. While it won't be mistaken for an original classic, the relentless challenge and retro presentation might appeal to fans of old-school arcade difficulties. It's a time capsule of 80s platformer design, where persistence matters more than polish.
