Beyblade VForce: Super Tournament Battle turns the spin-based combat of the VForce anime into a straightforward RPG. You design a custom blader and build a Beyblade, then battle through tournaments to prove your dominance. The story follows Kai as the central figure while your creations take center stage in matches. Turn-based battles mix attack patterns and stamina management, with occasional minigames to adjust your Beyblade's settings mid-fight. The structure leans on familiar anime tropes, rival duels, team dynamics, and a push to the grand finals. The game emphasizes customization over depth, letting you tweak weights, layers, and tips to suit different playstyles. While the single-player mode sticks to basic RPG mechanics, the inclusion of Tyson and Ray as recurring opponents adds a layer of familiarity for series fans. Released in 2002 in Japan and 2003 globally, it captures the VForce era's energy but lacks the complexity to stand out beyond its source material. The GameCube port runs smoothly, though the dated visuals and repetitive battle loops keep it niche.
In the game the player creates a blader and their own Beyblade and competes in a Beybalde tournament to become the best Blader. While Kai is the main character in the game with your Blader, Tyson and Ray are in supporting roles.
