Bifrost Spire is a chaotic twin stick shooter where you play a space Viking battling through endless waves of enemies. Team up with three friends in co op or switch to competitive modes to grab power and loot. Each run features randomly generated dungeons filled with traps and baddies forcing you to adapt with the game’s many weapons and class abilities. The goal is to scale Odin’s Spire and claim godhood though staying alive long enough to reach the top is another story. The game’s frantic pace and mix of teamwork and betrayal keep things fresh. With over 30 weapon types and shifting level layouts no two sessions play the same. Community ratings highlight the addictive loop of risk and reward though some note the learning curve. Released in 2019 it’s still a favorite for small groups looking for high energy action. Available on PS4 PC and Mac.

Storyline

On Earth, Vikings were great warriors that fight to prove their valor into Valhalla. True to their ancestors, the new Vikings became obsessed with intergalactic conquest, to prove to the gods their might. After many millennia, their thirst for conquest was quenched as their conquered the only civilization left on Midgard standing up.Thus Odin built the Bifrost Spire, called upon the Vikings and declared that whoever got to the top of the spire would become a God of Valhalla. Odin’s announcement lit a fire inside the new Vikings like never before, and the mightiest of warriors all rushed to climb the Bifrost Spire praising Odin.
