This Super Famicom fighting game pits Sailor Moon and her allies against each other in a no-holds-barred tournament to decide their new leader. After a clash leaves Sailor Moon questioned by her peers, the team stages a battle royale to settle the hierarchy. Each character has distinct moves and abilities, with new additions like Neptune and Uranus joining the fray. Combat is fast-paced and punchy, balancing arcade action with the series’ signature flair. Single-player modes let you master the roster, while local multiplayer adds competitive replay value. A cult classic among Sailor Moon and retro fighter fans, this 1994 title showcases Arc System Works’ early knack for character-driven brawls. While not as widely discussed as later entries, its blend of series lore and straightforward gameplay has earned it a niche following. The inclusion of Rini’s early arc and Pluto’s time-related stakes adds context for dedicated players. With simple mechanics and a chaotic premise, it’s a brisk, stylized entry in the franchise’s history.
Rini (Chibiusa) has come back to the present to train with the Soldiers as Sailor Chibimoon, and Sailor Pluto as well has made the scene coming away from the Gate of Time. The two new Soldiers are Sailor Neptune and Sailor Uranus who had been searching for three sacred talismans in order to unite them into one. This item later on would boost Sailor Moon's powers in order to make her into Super Sailor Moon. Well as it seems the Soldiers feel that maybe there needs to be a change in the command structure of the nine Sailor Soldiers and our story begins as the nine of them want to fight it out to prove who's the best and deserves to lead the rest, needless to say this makes Sailor Moon quite upset to say the least.
