Blackmoor 2 is a 2D brawler with platforming elements that channels the energy of 90s arcade fighters. You battle through waves of enemies using punchy combos and special moves while navigating levels that mix vertical and horizontal challenges. The story mode drops you into a medieval fantasy world where you fight through castles and caverns while a separate dungeon-crawling mode lets you explore user created levels either alone or with friends. Online multiplayer supports head to head matches and up to four players in co-op mode. The biggest hook is the user generated content which adds fresh challenges beyond the main campaign. Online play is tight and responsive making it feel like a true local fight even across distances. With over 20 characters each with distinct abilities and a fast paced combat system that rewards quick reflexes it’s easy to see why long time fans of the genre keep coming back.
