BlazBlue: Clone Phantasma brings the series' chaotic battles to the Nintendo 3DS with a side of anime-style chaos. You control exaggerated toy-like versions of familiar fighters as they clash in a story mode mixing platforming and turn-based combat. The 3D effect adds depth to flashy movesets while the portable format lets you take the mayhem anywhere. The game leans into its playful aesthetic without sacrificing the tactical depth of the BlazBlue formula. While not as action-packed as the mainline entries it still has a dedicated following among series veterans. The 3DS version remains one of the more accessible ways to sample the franchise's over-the-top style.
