Block Buster is a 1984 VIC-20 arcade game where you pilot a vehicle trapped in a maze of melting ice rocks. Two ice monsters chase you each level forcing you to use the environment for survival. By maneuvering your truck you can push loose rocks to crush enemies or block paths. Fuel depletes over time with a warning buzzer adding urgency. Scattered diamond ore rocks reset your fuel but are scarce. The maze shifts as rocks break creating new routes and hazards. You start with three lives and eight increasingly complex stages to survive. The game stands out for its tight resource management and spatial puzzles. Every move requires weighing immediate threats against long term planning. You must decide whether to chase fuel or avoid enemies often with only seconds to react. As an early 80s title it packs surprising depth for a system with just 5 KB of RAM. While simple by modern standards its mechanics demand precision timing and foresight. The rigid two-monster pursuit system creates consistent pressure without overwhelming newer players.
You are exploring an alien ice planet in your multi-terrain vehicle. You fall into a labyrinth of ice rocks. When these rocks melt ice monsters are freed which you must crush by pushing rocks into them. Search out diamond ore, it's your only source of fuel!
