Block Buster is a brick-smashing arcade game that updates the Breakout formula with powerups and multiplayer twists. Players use a paddle to launch a ball at rows of colored blocks, earning upgrades like extra balls or projectile shots by collecting items. Three modes include Attack (clear levels), Endless (survive waves), and VS (battle another player). The Squash Ball and Wall Shake mechanics add variety, letting you crush blocks or shake screens for added chaos. The game’s highlight is its competitive and co-op play, letting two players team up or compete directly. While 60 levels offer decent replay value, some board designs feel haphazard compared to others. Released in 1997 but ported to modern PlayStation systems, it serves as a nostalgic yet uneven update to classic arkanoid-style play.
