The game follows their grueling 3000-li trek through hostile territory as they race to reach Chang’an and deliver a critical message that could save their homeland. Combat and survival take center stage as you navigate desert landscapes under constant threat from pursuers. The experience hinges on tense decision making and relentless motion. The game’s most striking feature is its grounding in actual historical events, specifically the 848 AD Dunhuang rebellion. Instead of focusing on emperors or generals, it follows a common courier’s desperate mission. Powered by Unreal 5, the desert settings look sharp with detailed environments. Early builds show strong pacing and emotional moments that linger. Combat is standard but effective, with the constant threat of pursuit creating steady tension.
