Blueprint is a fast-paced puzzle arcade game where you play J.J. racing to save a damsel in distress from a creature chasing her across the screen. Navigate through a maze of houses collecting parts for a Rube-Goldberg-style contraption or defusing bombs. A timer tracks your limited "Fast run" energy, forcing strategic sprinting. Smaller monsters spawn in a disposal pit to sabotage progress, requiring you to herd them back while rebuilding the machine. Success lets you trigger a final blast to stop the main threat. The Atari 2600 version dials back graphics but keeps the blueprint layout intact. Visual flair and jazzy tunes are stripped to basics but the gameplay remains brisk and colorful. Released on December 31, 1982, it spans arcade, Commodore 64, and Atari systems, offering single and multiplayer modes. Its mix of item collection, timing pressure, and chaotic monster antics carved a niche in early 80s puzzlers.
