About

Blues and Bullets follows a retired lawman forced back into the fray when his old rival Al Capone asks for help. You play as Eliot Ness, now running a diner in a crumbling city, drawn into a kidnapping case that forces him to navigate crime syndicates and political rot. The game uses point-and-click exploration with dialogue choices shaping interactions. Players balance diner management tasks with investigative work, collecting clues and interrogating suspects to untangle the mystery. The noir-inspired setting and Doug Cockle’s gravelly narration stand out, lending weight to the tangled plot. While the episodic format allowed for iterative storytelling, some early technical issues on PC platforms drew mixed reactions. The contrast between Ness’s worn-out idealism and Santa Esperanza’s decay gives the story depth, even as it leans into familiar gangster tropes. A modest but atmospheric entry in the adventure genre with a focus on moral ambiguity and procedural puzzles.
