Board Game Society is a turn-based strategy game where 1 to 6 players compete or cooperate on a shifting tile-based board. You play as a group of mismatched teens navigating a cursed forest, rolling dice to move, fight monsters, and gather loot. The goal is to scavenge treasure and weaken the game’s final boss before rivals do. Each turn lets you choose between exploration, combat, or holding onto your hard-earned rewards. The tile layout changes every match so no two games feel the same. The 80s VHS horror aesthetic and character archetypes like the jock and goth give the game a distinct retro vibe. Players balance teamwork with self-interest since the same tiles that offer treasure can also hide threats. Dice rolls add luck but strategy matters more in how you position and upgrade your crew. Community playtests note it’s easy to pick up but tough to master, especially in multiplayer where betrayal is common.
