Body Harvest casts you as Adam Drake, a soldier armed with a time-travel device and a mission to thwart alien invasions across pivotal moments in human history. The game splits its focus between shooting and driving as you navigate eras like wartime Greece and 1990s Siberia. On foot you can blast aliens with standard weapons but most missions demand vehicle-based tactics. Cars ships and other machinery often come loaded with their own firepower letting you switch between driving and shooting mid-mission. The map system lets you fast travel to key zones but progress hinges on completing objectives in each time period. This 1998 title stands out for its chaotic mashup of historical settings and sci-fi action. The vehicle combat remains its strongest feature letting you use speed and mounted guns to clear alien threats efficiently. While the polygonal N64 graphics feel dated now the game’s frenetic pacing and mission variety hold up better than most early 3D shooters. A small but vocal group of retro gamers still praises its no-frills approach to blending genres though its single-player campaign is best approached as a curiosity rather than a classic.
