Bomberman II is a follow up to the classic maze based action game. Players navigate grid based rooms placing bombs to blast through walls and outwit enemies. The sequel adds two player and three player modes letting friends compete or team up. The story follows a hero framed for crimes he didn’t commit working through increasingly complex layouts to clear his name. The game expands on the formula with tighter controls and more varied level design. The addition of local multiplayer became a standout feature. Originally released in 1991 it still holds up for fans of grid based puzzle action. Known as Dynablaster in Europe it’s a staple of retro gaming collections and praised for its replayability.

Storyline

The player controls White Bomberman, who is framed for the terrible crimes committed by Black Bomberman. After being accused of robbing a bank, White Bomberman is thrown in jail. The player must navigate White Bomberman through a series of puzzles to escape his prison cell and bring Black Bomberman to justice.
