You play as Mobo and Robo two bumbling crooks who hijack banks museums and basically anything with a vault. The setup is simple you answer a TV ad from a stranger offering work testing security systems then spend the game sneaking through levels blasting guards and grabbing loot. The action bounces between top-down shooting and puzzle solving as you dodge traps and figure out how to bypass locks. Split screen co-op lets friends join in the chaos though the real draw is how the retro design keeps things tight and fast even as you wrestle with 90s-era hardware limits. Bonanza Bros. stands out for crammed every mode under the sun into its 1990 release including local multiplayer and arcade conversions. The mix of puzzle logic and reflex-based combat holds up better than most of its era thanks to a relentless sense of humor and surprisingly thoughtful level design. It’s a cult classic with a dedicated following that still pops up in retro gaming circles for its chaotic charm and the absurdity of its platform list which somehow includes the Commodore 64 and Wii.
