Bravoman is a side-scrolling action game where you battle robot armies as a hero with power-up driven gameplay. Navigate 22 stages split between ground-based combat and underwater shooting sequences. Your attacks and jumps scale based on how long you hold buttons creating a tactile feedback loop. Defeat enemies to collect symbols tradeable for health and upgrades keeping the pace tight and resource management crucial. The control system stands out for its responsiveness letting precise inputs shape every move. Though buried in the arcade era it’s remembered for blending action and strategy in a compact package. Originally released in 1988 it lives on as a cult curiosity with its mix of sci-fi schlock and button-mashing depth.

Storyline

Hitoshi Nakamura, a salesman for Mekama Fire & Marine Insurance, is given Silver Power and the transformation substance Hera&Bo by an Alpha planetoid who suddenly appears on his way home from overtime work, giving him the ability to transform into Bravo-Man. As a first step toward world domination, a robot army led by the evil genius scientist Doctor Bomb invades Nitta Fourth Street. Bravo-Man challenges the robot army to a battle.
