About

Bronx is a fast-paced hack and slash game set in a gritty urban environment. You take on the role of a gang leader competing in a brutal tournament to become the King of the Bronx. The gameplay revolves around defeating waves of enemies using a mix of punches kicks and weapons. The single player mode focuses on straightforward combat with an emphasis on timing and avoiding incoming attacks. The game's design keeps the action tight requiring quick reflexes and strategic use of available tools. What makes Bronx stand out is its unrelenting difficulty and chaotic enemy encounters. With limited health and increasing numbers of opponents each round tests your endurance and skill. The story of rival gangs uniting against a common enemy adds a layer of narrative that was rare for arcade style games of its time. Despite a short lifespan of just over three decades it has a cult following among retro gaming circles. Its raw no frills approach to beat 'em up mechanics ensures a challenging but rewarding experience for fans of the genre.

Storyline

Times in the Bronx have gotten tough. The cops intensify their persecution against us and it is the moment of the truce to adopt all the gangs a strategy against the common enemy. One of the Chiefs must lead the assembly, and what better way to elect him than a fight between all of them. The winner will be considered the King of the Bronx.
