Bruce Lee is a side scrolling brawler that mixes platform hopping with hand to hand combat. You play as the legendary martial artist leaping between foreground and background layers to dodge enemies and deliver rapid punches kicks. The stages cycle through classic Bruce Lee film scenarios with destructible backgrounds and timed objectives. Combat feels responsive for its era with a focus on fast combos over heavy armor. The game stood out in 1984 for its smooth dual screen scrolling and optional co op mode letting two players take turns fighting. It released on 11 different 8 bit systems spanning DOS to MSX making it one of the most widely available arcade style beat em ups of its time. While not as technically ambitious as later 16 bit brawlers it holds up as a brisk no frills tribute to the martial arts icon.
