"In this brave new world of Destiny, a new saga begins, and major shifts and changes alter the very systems on which the Guardians stand and progress. Unfortunately, these are changes I'm going to have to sit out until they get dialed in over the coming weeks and months. This game has been a constant in my rotation for nearly 10 years. But it now demands time that I just don't have to give, offers rewards that aren't worth the heavy investment, and promises to reset the clock and devalue that commitment every six months. The shooter part of Destiny is still excellent, but I'll check back in December and see if they've worked out the looter bit."

Buck and the Coin of Destiny is a side-scrolling platformer where you guide a rabbit through levels filled with jumps, coins, and hazards. Collect coins, use double jumps to reach high spots, and tackle randomly generated stages across different settings like forests, lava caverns, castles, and pirate ships. Story Mode lets you pick difficulty and includes cutscenes and achievements. After finishing Story Mode, Arcade Mode offers endless challenges where you try to score as high as possible. The game stands out with its variety of power-ups that change Buck's abilities, turning him into a knight, pirate, or gunslinger, each with unique moves. The randomly generated levels mean no two runs are the same, keeping things fresh. While the 2010 release date shows its age, the mix of exploration and high-score chasing still works for a quick, colorful platforming fix on iOS.
