Bush Buck is a two-player globe-hopping game where you and an opponent race to track down hidden treasures. You fly between 206 cities across 175 countries using a network of plane routes, collecting clues to pinpoint each treasure’s location. Each city visit offers facts about its culture, landmarks, or geography. If you can’t guess a treasure’s origin from context, you gather hints like “It’s an island country” to narrow your search. The goal is to reach the target city first, secure the item, and return it to your base for points. Flights drain limited plane tickets, so strategic route planning matters as much as knowledge. The game’s strength lies in its mix of geography quizzes and competitive pacing. With 400 possible treasures and three difficulty settings adjusting AI strength and clue frequency, it challenges both casual players and trivia fans. Though released in 1991 for DOS and Amiga, its focus on learning through play feels ahead of its time. Players who enjoy balancing strategy with real-world knowledge might find it a niche but rewarding experience.
