Cadillacs and Dinosaurs: The Second Cataclysm throws you into a world where humans scavenge a surface now ruled by dinosaurs and ancient mutants. Play as Jack Tenrec or Hannah Dundee, blasting through prehistoric predators in a souped-up 1953 Cadillac armed with machine guns. The game splits time between high-speed desert chases and third-person shooting segments as you hunt down Scharnhorst, a tyrant exploiting old tech to destabilize the ecosystem. Controls feel dated by today’s standards but capture the chaotic energy of 90s arcade-inspired design. The split-screen co-op remains a highlight, letting two players tackle levels side by side. While critical reception was mixed at launch, its absurd blend of mechs, raptor herds, and mid-90s VHS-style cutscenes has earned it a cult following among retro action fans. The Sega CD version adds FMV sequences that either charm or frustrate, depending on your tolerance for grainy 320x240 drama. A relic of a specific era, but one that still crackles with goofy, gun-slinging energy.
