Cannoneer is a fast-paced 2D shooter where you control a fixed-position cannon that fires a single bomb. As waves of planes approach, you rotate the cannon to blast targets before they reach the edge of the screen. Each bomb you fire returns once it exits the map, but you must time shots carefully as planes shift positions every 30 seconds. Speed and direction of enemies escalate with each wave, and a grenade power-up appears after 15 successful hits. The goal is to rack up points through precise targeting while managing limited ammo and chaotic patterns. The game thrives on its tight, twitchy mechanics and escalating tension. With no respawns for your cannon, every missed shot feels urgent. Leaderboards encourage replayability, and multiplayer modes let you directly challenge friends. Despite its simple premise, the balance of strategy and reflexes keeps sessions short but intensely addictive.
