"Castles is in a very unfortunate release as it is highly derivative of a very tired formula, yet at the same time does things worse than most of the games that came before it. Having the player control a character that pushes the blocks leads to an enormous amount of undue frustration and makes this somehow even less palatable. Even when they try something kind of new, it just doesn't lead to the kind of pay off that it should. It is just a stale, uninteresting game in a stale, uninteresting genre. Perhaps the most rabid of match-three enthusiasts might get a kick out of this, but this castle is one that should just be torn down."

Castle Vox is a strategy game where everyone plans their moves at the same time before seeing the results. You pick your orders for a turn while thinking about what your opponents might do next. Once the planning phase ends, all actions resolve together on various war maps to show you the outcome. This approach forces you to think several steps ahead because you cannot react to an enemy move until the current round finishes. The real tension comes from trying to predict your rivals without knowing their choices yet. Community members often note how the simultaneous system creates intense mind games compared to standard turn-based play. Recent data shows that players who focus on defense first tend to survive longer than those who rush into attack immediately. You will find yourself constantly second-guessing your strategy as you watch the battle unfold. The game rewards careful observation and bold risk taking without relying on luck alone.
