"It has been quite some time since I have enjoyed a platformer as much as I have with The Adventure Pals. The zany premise, characters, and colorful cartoon visuals certainly put a smile on my face. Video games are all about having fun, and The Adventure Pals is simply a fun game to play. You earn additional items and upgrade your character as you progress through the 105 different levels in the game. Don't forget to feed the cupcake king and collect wacky customization options. The co-op mechanics is somewhat lackluster, and I would have liked to see that implemented better so that both players and grow their characters."

Castlevania: The Adventure is a 2D platformer where you play as Christopher Belmont, a distant relative of the series' main character, hunting Dracula a century before the events of the original. The game mixes exploration with combat and basic puzzle-solving. You navigate castle halls and eerie environments, avoiding traps and battling enemies with whips and magic. The controls are simple but occasionally awkward due to the system's limitations. The game moves at a steady pace, balancing action with slower sections where you backtrack through maps to find keys or hidden paths. This title marks the first time the Castlevania name appeared on a portable system. Despite its age, the core loop of fighting monsters and collecting upgrades still feels familiar to longtime fans of the series. It’s a stripped-down version of the bigger Castlevania games but retains enough atmospheric charm to justify its place in the franchise. The Game Boy version lacks the 3DS entries' modern polish, but its skeletal structure laid the groundwork for future entries.
