Cat Planet casts you as a winged girl stranded on a world overrun by felines. Your goal is simple: gather every cat scattered across floating islands and treacherous terrain. Flight mechanics feel oddly intuitive, press any key to soar, tilt up or down to adjust altitude. Precise timing is key to avoid hazards like spiky obstacles and bottomless pits. Death resets progress but never the whole game, though lack of saves means you’ll need long stretches of focus to finish. Despite its 2009 release and minimal polish, the game’s charm lies in its eccentric premise and relentless difficulty. Players often cite its quirky art style and the absurdity of a cat-filled planet as standout features. While not widely discussed today, dedicated fans praise its addictive loop and the challenge of completing it in one sitting. PC and browser players looking for a niche platformer with a weird twist might find it lurking in retro game circles.
You play as a human girl with wings, and the last of your kind, and you must collect all the cats on the cat planet. While the controls are somewhat bizarre, in that any key will allow you to take flight, holding 'up' will increase your altitude, and holding 'down' will decrease it. While you can die, there are no game overs. However, you can't save, so the game must be beaten in one go!
