CatRoots is a single player action game for the Nintendo 64 that vanished from existence before it ever launched. The only evidence we have is a brief clip shown at E3 in 2000 by Marigul Management. It features a red cartoon cat sprinting away from an armed mouse wielding everything from hammers to ninja stars and a flamethrower. The cat eventually gets pinned down by the mouse's sharp tail, leading to a Game Over screen that confirms your role as the feline protagonist. Nothing else about the title was ever released or discussed publicly. This mystery title stands out simply because it exists at all given the complete lack of follow-up from Nintendo or the developer. We have no ratings or community data since nobody actually got to play it beyond that short preview. The video leaves us wondering what happened to the project and why a full game never materialized. It remains one of those odd corners of gaming history where we know a prototype existed but have zero information on its mechanics, story, or final state.
