Centipede Infestation is a fast-paced shooter that mixes action with light strategy elements. Set in a ruined world overrun by massive insects, you play as Max using a range of guns and gadgets to clear waves of bugs while planting seeds to restore the environment. The game introduces Maisy, a character who often needs rescuing, adding a side quest layer to missions. Single-player runs through varied stages, but the co-op mode lets you team up with another player to tackle challenges together. Each character has distinct abilities and weapons, encouraging teamwork to survive tougher sections. The co-op experience is a standout, with players reporting smoother progression and more fun when playing with a partner. While the tower-defense inspired mechanics don’t fully take root, the blend of shooting and environmental recovery adds a unique twist to the genre. Available weapons and stages offer solid variety, though the Wii and 3DS versions keep graphics and scale relatively modest.
