Chained Backrooms is a tense co-op horror game where you and up to three others are physically linked, forced to navigate ever-changing labyrinthine environments filled with lurking threats. Each procedurally generated level shifts around you, hiding hazards and shortcuts behind peeling fluorescent lights and endless hallways. The chains that bind your group double as both hindrance and necessity, you must coordinate every move to avoid tripping, getting separated, or drawing attention from creatures that stalk the shadows. Escape requires splitting up to unlock exits, but the longer you’re apart, the higher the risk of something grabbing what’s left of your team. The physical tether mechanic turns basic movement into a high-stakes puzzle, blending claustrophobic survival with the pressure of shared responsibility. With no prior releases from Rosa Special Studio, the game leans into community-favorite Backrooms lore while carving its own niche in the horror co-op space. Launching July 2025 on PC, it’s a test of trust and reflexes for players who thrive under duress.
