Champ Pac-em is a maze-based arcade game where you navigate a grid collecting dots while dodging colorful enemies called Gobl-ems. Power pills let you briefly chase and eat the Gobl-ems for extra points, with bonus fruits and hidden items sprinkled throughout each level. The game supports single-player runs or head-to-head matches, with tight controls and fast pacing that keeps every move urgent. This DOS release adds sharper visuals and Soundblaster audio to the original formula, along with a revamped interface that streamlines menu navigation. CHAMP mode tacks on new obstacles like speed-boosting patches and teleporters, plus optional invisible mazes that hide walls entirely.
