Champions of Krynn is a turn-based RPG set in the Dragonlance universe after the War of the Lance. You lead a squad of adventurers across a war-torn world where remnants of evil plot to ambush the forces of good. Battles unfold on grid-based maps requiring careful positioning and resource management. The story weaves political schemes with classic fantasy threats like dragons and draconians. Exploration and dialogue reveal hidden dangers while tactical combat decides the fate of entire regions. SSI released this 1990 title across platforms from DOS to Commodore 64. The narrative focuses on foiling a cunning plan to resurrect the Dark Queen’s rule. Storyline

The War of the Lance is over, but Evil is a BAD loser... With the Dragonarmies defeated and the lands to the east reconquered, the forces of good have withdrawn and settled down to a well-earned rest. Evil forces, however, never rest and have been quietly plotting a cataclysmic return to power! Their goal: nothing short of establishing the Dark Queen, Takhisis, as undisputed ruler of Krynn! Guide your party of characters through a dark web of intrigue and combat, where dragons, draconians and other unspeakable monstrosities dwell. Go with a brave heart - for you and your heroic adventurers are all that stand in the way of evil tyranny.
