Chaos Heat is a co-op arcade shooter from Taito that mixes gunplay with beat 'em up mechanics. Three characters each bring distinct stats and weapon loadouts players can swap between during fights. Every fighter has a roll to shrug off damage and a close-range combo for hacking through enemies. The five-stage campaign splits into multiple arenas per level. Progress hinges on finding key cards attached to hostile NPCs. Objectives alter available paths to different bosses and environments but the final stage remains unchanged regardless of earlier choices. The game launched on Taito’s G-Net arcade system in October 1998. It supports single or two-player co-op with shared health and ammo. The blend of shooter pacing and beat 'em up melee moments keeps the action varied. Though limited to arcade cabinets its branching level design offers replay value through shifting routes and boss encounters. The fixed final stage ensures a consistent conclusion but earlier decisions shape the journey there.
