Choose from multiple chess piece sets and adjust the 3D board view with zoom and rotation or switch to a flat top-down layout. The AI adapts to your skill level while an optional tutorial mode suggests moves to help learners. Play unfolds through standard chess mechanics with no added mechanics or objectives beyond checkmating your foe. The game includes a self-rating test that times your responses to 24 mid-game scenarios. Released in 1990 for DOS and Atari ST, it offers straightforward chess with visual tools ahead of its era.
