Chess Twist is a strategic reimagining of chess that shakes up the battlefield. Instead of the traditional 8x8 grid, each match plays out on a procedurally generated board where tiles feature three or five possible directions. Pieces still follow standard rules but their movement adapts to the board's shifting geometry. This forces players to rethink positioning and tactics, turning familiar strategies on their head. Single player and multiplayer modes let you test your skills against AI or human opponents. What sets Chess Twist apart is how it keeps every game feeling fresh. The ever-changing layouts mean no two matches play the same way, rewarding players who can spot unconventional attack paths. Developed by Guillaume Fradin and released in May 2024, it's available on PC, Mac, Linux, and iOS.
