Chicken Attack is a top-down isometric arcade sequel where you control a hen battling to rescue trapped chicks. Using a ball-firing mechanic similar to Breakout, you smash through blocks to clear paths uncover hidden treasures and activate pressure plates that let you progress. Each level throws obstacles and power-ups at you some helpful some tricky requiring quick thinking to maximize your score. Three modes normal easy and timed adjust the challenge while keeping the core goal the same free all the chicks to beat the level. The whole game runs on mouse controls making it simple to pick up and play. What stands out is the tight blend of puzzle and action elements. Clearing blocks isn’t just about brute force you need to plan shots to unlock shortcuts and collectibles efficiently. The timed mode adds urgency forcing you to balance speed with precision. Released in 2007 it shows its age visually but the core loop of breaking blocks and rescuing characters remains satisfying. With 11 levels across three modes it’s a brief but brisk challenge that works well for quick sessions. The Nintendo DS version even lets you play on the go though the mouse-free controls might feel clunky.
