Citrouille: Sweet Witches is a fast paced platformer where you guide tiny witches through perilous levels using magic ladders and spells. There’s no jumping, players must strategically place ladders and unleash abilities to survive traps and enemies. Choose between story mode, which has over 50 levels split across five worlds, or competitive versus modes with up to four players. Co op lets you team up locally but both players share a single life counter and spells hit allies as easily as enemies. Arenas focus on clearing flowers or outlasting opponents in timed battles. The game’s charm clashes with its difficulty, 30 minute story runs are common even for experienced players. With 23 achievements and a rare 3% unlock rate for the “Agent Black” trophy, mastery takes time. Local multiplayer shines for its chaotic appeal, especially when friendships fray over shared damage. Enchanting visuals mask the brutal core mechanics, making it a nostalgic yet punishing throwback to arcade highs and lows.

Storyline

Citrouille is an arcade platformer featuring adorable little witches on a quest for candy. Despite the childish appearance, the gameplay is merciless. There is no jump, you have to rely on your magic ladders, spells and power ups to get through. Brave the danger, face your nemesis, cover the world with flowers and claim the treats you deserve! Story Mode: Play as Praline or Vanille, the two main characters, through 50+ levels within 5+ unique worlds. If going through the quest on your own feels too hard, you can cooperate with a friend on a shared screen. But beware, for both players share the same life counter. Also, your spells and weapons make no difference between friends and foes. Versus Mode: Two to four players can face each others on a shared screen. Anis and Reglisse, the two antagonists, are joining the fray to claim their share.
