Citywars Tower Defense layers survival gameplay onto a tower defense framework. You collect materials to craft weapons and construct defenses while fending off monster waves. Each weapon has its own progression path with branching upgrades. Armor can be modified with magical enhancements. The game supports local and online co-op play with up to four players sharing a screen or connecting over the internet. The MMO mode lets you team with strangers in persistent worlds. Player-built bases often look chaotic but functional. Skill trees offer 28 distinct upgrade paths according to Steam user stats. Available on Windows, macOS and Linux since March 2022.
