Axiens is a straightforward shoot 'em up where you steer a ship along the bottom of the screen blasting waves of descending aliens. The goal is simple: clear each level before enemy fire reaches your position. Controls are minimal but responsive, focusing on lateral movement and continuous shooting. The challenge comes from tight spacing and enemy patterns that force quick reflexes. Loosely inspired by Namco's Galaxian, Axiens strips away complexity for pure action. Its retro pixel art and chiptune soundtrack lean into 80s home computer charm. While the formula doesn't evolve much over time, the difficulty curve ramps up sharply with later stages.
