Clock Tower: Rewind is a point-and-click adventure that revives a 1995 survival horror title originally exclusive to Japan. You play Jennifer Simpson, exploring Barrows Mansion to uncover its secrets while evading the relentless Scissorman. The gameplay mixes atmospheric puzzle solving with tense chase sequences, all viewed through a pixel-art lens. This version preserves the original’s structure but sharpens visuals and audio for modern systems. Developed by WayForward with help from Capcom and Limited Run, the remaster marks the game’s first legal release outside Japan. Using the Carbon Engine, it retains the spooky vibe of the Super Famicom original while adding smoother animations and remastered sound. Available on PlayStation, PC, Xbox, and Switch, it drops October 29, 2024. Fans of 90s horror adventures may find it a solid, if dated, throwback.
