Cluedo turns a classic whodunit formula into a digital mystery. You play as a detective at a mansion where Mr. Boddy has been killed. Each round you gather clues by moving through rooms, questioning suspects, and deducing the killer’s identity, the murder weapon, and the crime scene. The game uses pre-recorded video clips of actors to present alibis and evidence. Turns involve logical deduction and strategic bluffing as players cross-examine each other to uncover lies. The 1994 CD-i version adds live-action performances and interactive scenes that were rare in board game adaptations at the time. While the core mechanics stick to the original Cluedo rules, the multimedia approach gives it a more cinematic feel than typical puzzle games. With three difficulty levels and multiple playable characters, it challenges logic and observation skills without needing a physical board. The Philips CD-i version remains a niche entry in the franchise but offers a fresh take on a decades-old mystery formula.
