About

You start inside a plain gray room covered in tiles. A nervous voice tells you that you are part of an experiment called Codename: Room by Brandon Macleod. This space shifts to show different environments while you solve puzzles and jump across gaps. The goal is to finish challenges set by the host, who sounds eager but clearly out of his depth. Your choices determine if you get a good ending, a bad one, or something in between. The game runs as a single player experience that takes about ten minutes per run. It features multiple endings and hidden secrets for those who want to play through again. Community feedback suggests the story stands out because the narrator seems more like a confused kid than a scary villain. You can find the demo on Itch.io to try it yourself before deciding if you want to dig deeper into the twists waiting inside.

Storyline

The game will revolve around the character of The Mysterious Voice. This character appears as young and naive but eager to run a successful experiment. As the game goes on, it soon becomes apparent that The Mysterious Voice is in way over his head and might not exactly have his life together. Not much is known about this character or what his ultimate goal is but he encourages players to just sit back and go with the flow. The player, subject 243, simply find themselves caught in the middle of this whole situation.
