Coffee Crisis is a fast-paced brawler where you play as barista heroes fighting off alien invaders. You and a friend can team up to punch, kick, and coffee-cup fling your way through hordes of enemies in 2D side-scrolling levels. The controls are tight and responsive making it easy to string together combos or block and counter. Each character has distinct moves and abilities adding some depth to the straightforward action. The single-player campaign follows a simple story about saving your coffee shop while the multiplayer modes focus on chaotic local couch brawls. The game stands out for its retro arcade feel and goofy premise. It captures the chaotic energy of classic beat 'em ups with bright colorful visuals and satisfying hit effects. While the story about aliens stealing coffee is delightfully absurd the real draw is the tight 1v1 or 2v2 matches that encourage quick reflexes and strategic teamwork. With support for modern platforms and a throwback aesthetic it’s a punchy throwback that works well for short sessions or competitive play.

Storyline

An evil race of aliens called the Smurgliens has watched Earth for years. Through their observations, they deduce that the best humanity has to offer is its wifi, cat videos, metal music, and coffee. Two baristas from the Black Forge Coffee House, Nick and Ashley, take it upon themselves to confront the threat after their coffee shop is invaded.
