Color Guardians is a side-scrolling platformer where you toggle between color-coded abilities to navigate shifting environments. Each level forces you to think quickly as you collect power-ups, dodge hazards, and solve layout puzzles by switching between red, blue, and yellow states. The controls are tight but the difficulty spikes fast, precision and timing matter more than flash. The game’s standout is its relentless pace, which keeps even seasoned players on edge. With no checkpoints in some stages, death feels frequent but fair. It’s a short experience at around four hours, but the tight level design and escalating challenges have earned it a 78% on Metacritic. The Vita and PC ports let you play anywhere, though the PS4 version remains the most polished.
